Hebrews 3:4 “For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.”
“Each year I begin a process of thought and prayer that leads me to the summer camp theme. Part of the process is needing a confirmation of the right theme and this year one of our campers brought that confirmation. As I stood in the dining hall on a work day with Adam Macejkovich, a long time camper, pit crew worker and work volunteer. He began to express his thoughts what this summer’s camp theme should be. He talked about the new home (Little Newton Lake Campus) God built for him and all the campers, and how when campers came to that new home they would meet Jesus, and they would have the opportunity to someday go to God’s home in heaven. This surely made knowing this was the right theme, easy!
As we work on finishing the dining hall, health center and the town square we have thought much about journey of the last 25 years. God has given all that has been needed to build this campus. Our job has been to be the right tool in his tool box to complete the task he has had for us each day. We believe that this campus will be a constant reminder to the fact that God has a plan for each of us. In other words God uses each of us as the tool he needs to complete his tasks, and everyone has a purpose in His plan. Knowing God lovingly made us for a purpose helps all find our place together in His home. We look forward to the coming camps here in our house! We are thankful for the great big Camp Daniel family that makes this house the home.” – Director Tony Piantine
